members reinforced with FRP bars. Thanks to its long experience, FIDIA S.r.l. is able to study advanced structural solutions to solve any kind of engineering

Strengthening of concrete, masonry, timber and steel structures that are affected by degradation or in need of
retrofit/consolidation. FIDIA S.r.l. offers CFRP, GFRP, AFRP, SRP or SRG materials for flexural, shear strengthening and
wrapping, of beams, flooring systems, bridges, columns and piers etc. contributing to all the design steps. Moreover,
FIDIA has extended its knowledge in the sector of building protection and mitigation from dynamic loads caused by earthquake
shocks, winds or explosions, finding solutions that join the benefits of composite materials with highly deformable resins,
allowing to realize effective protective systems, maintaining the composite installation steps unchanged. Thanks to the
agreements signed with material manufacturers of fiber sheets, bars and pultruded profiles, in Italy as well as worldwide,
FIDIA can satisfy all its customers' requirements, according to the CNR-DT 200/2004, or other international design guide
lines (ACI, FIB, UK, Japanese, Canadian), which guides the design and the execution of strengthening and retrofit jobs in
the civil engineering industry.

Design and material supply of new concrete structures reinforced with GFRP bars, thanks to the recently approved design
guidelines CNR-DT 203/2006 "Guidelines for the Design, the Execution and the Control of concrete Structures through
composite bars". Glass fibers bars are widely used for new structures thanks to their durability, strength capacity,
magnetic transparency, no thermal conductivity and lower density respect to steel bars, that represent the natural
properties of glass fibers bars. The above-mentioned system of reinforcement for concrete sections is largely used for
build different type of road and geotechnical infrastructures (bridge decks, walls, tunneling, retaining and mining
applications such as "soft-eyes", rock nails, extraction tanks, railways, motorways), marine works such as seawalls,
artificial reefs, water breaks and floating marine decks in the sector of prefabrication, both structural (tilt-up panels)
and decorative, and in the civil-industrial sectors that need an electromagnetic transparency (i.e. hospitals, concrete near
high voltage cables, transformers and substations).

Architectural and structural design of entirely made structural composite elements realized through the VARTM
(Vacuum Assisted Resin Transfer Molding) and pultrusion processes, which are used both as structural components such as roofs,
pedestrian bridges, staircases, covering panels, etc. and as furniture elements with the well-known "carbon look". Thanks to
the experience of its experts and to the co-operation with other companies specialized in civil engineering and architectural
